1958 Blouson dress

Featured on my blog today. If I found this dress today, I would have dated it as early 60's until I saw this ad. Learn something new everyday!

Ah-hem - notice the BLATANT clipping or airbrushing of the dress at the knees! You know this dress falls straight or even flares slightly from the hips!

The air brushing is funny. She would have to hop if it really fit that way! Neat dress - almost looks like two pieces. The gloves are very 50's-60's too.

I love the way the tie and belt are matching fabric. And that's sort of a sailor collar, isn't it, even if the colorway of the dress is not at all nautical? Very chic... (And I would have taken it for later, too!)

My mother had that haircut in 1958...
