1960 Crombie Aberdeen Vicuna Coat. Immaculate! Value?

Hello, I have just inherited my grandfather's 1960 Crombie Aberdeen Vicuna Coat and I would like to know it's value. It has not been worn for almost 50 years (and hardly at that) and has been immaculately maintained. It is deep camel in colour. The fabric is incredibly rare and expensive (as it was outlawed in the 60's up until the 90's.) An Italian tailor mentioned that brand new, the coat would be worth $10,000-12,000. Obviously the coat is not new, but is in pristine condition. Any help on the value of this coat? Thank you!

Adam

We can't give valuations here but I can tell you that your coat should do well if you decide to sell. Crombie is a well-respected label and, of course, the vicuna is quite sought after. I know there have been a few men's vintage vicuna coats on ebay in recent months so you might see if there are any in the completed listings. Good luck!
