1960s? 1970s? McGregor Coat - thanks!

This McGregor coat has the ACWA Union Label with the "R" in the lower left corner so I think that puts it in the range of 1962 to 1976. Coat does not have a Woolmark label though it appears to be a wool or wool blend.

Also the label in this coat is not listed in the McGregor section of the Label Resource Guide, but it most closely resembles the labels from the 60's. I would like to submit it, once I have an idea of the date of the coat.

Looking in my books I see more double breasted men's coats with the large collar in the 1960s. Thanks for your help in taking a moment to share your opinion - 60s or 70s?

This coat looks very late '60's - early '70's to me - especially the color scheme- more early '70's, actually.

Thanks Nicole & Linn, with the numbers on the AWCA label being black rather than red, I was thinking it was probably a bit later on also. Now to listing this fun coat!

Great coat, Alice! I always love the buttons on these coats. I agree with the others on dating; don't think you can go wrong with a date of ca. late 60s/early 70s.
