Hello all! Elle here- I found these amazing shoes at a vintage clothing store. Please share any info anyone might have! I believe the brand is “American Lily”.

I recently saw a pair of very similar shoes sold as 40s. No idea if that is accurate or not. Hopefully the experts will chime in. They're really beautiful.

I'll send you a DM, not sure if I can post a link here although it's a sold listing. Again, I have no idea and make no claim of the accuracy of the seller's dating, it's just a data point.

I would bet middly 60s when all that heavy beading was being done in Hong Kong. The straps were worked there and exported to Italy where the sandals were made. A single strap clog bottom sandal is a traditional style made in Italy since at least the 18th century, so stylistically it is an old style.

Thank you, Mr. Jonathan!

American Lily isn’t ringing any major vintage brand bells, which usually points to either a small-batch maker, a boutique label, or possibly a department store house brand that didn’t get big enough to leave a searchable legacy.

You might have better luck dating them by details like the sole type, logo font, stitching style, or country of manufacture

'American Lily' - I thought it said 'Italy' - a south Asain maker makes FAR more sense. I was puzzled by the Italian connection. Then definitely, these are made in Hong Kong for export - that explains the black plastic sole, and the mule style. Mid-late 60s for sure.
