1960s Hat?? Not Sure, Please Help Date

I found this hat and I love it...at first I thought it was 1960s but then when I looked at the inside I felt like it may be older...what do you all think?? its is Crème plastic-like straw?? sorry the pictures are a little dark

I think the shape, height of the crown and type of braid are all right for 1960's. It may just have been made by a classic hat maker.
