Please help! I got this great little 70's IMG_5910.JPG IMG_5908.JPG bias cut dress from a thrift store with new tags on it but I have never seen this label and there is nothing online that I can find.
Thanks!
Annette

Hi Annette, and welcome to the forums. I'm not familiar with the label but your dress looks like it might be a little more modern to me: I'm thinking '90s. Are there any other labels? I'm thinking care label in particular.

Hi Annette, I too think your dress is more contemporary, late 1990's to early 2000's . I had a cute dress like yours with the same label and same print but the style was different that I had bought about 10 years ago. If you google "n.c. love" dresses you can find a few examples.

Here are a couple of notes I found about NC Love...

-- from a 1994 article: "...NC Love, a contemporary sportswear firm..."

-- from a different 1994 article: "NC Love (formerly NC 17), urban lifestyle dresses and items..."

-- from a 2001 article: "NC Love. This contemporary dress line relaunched nine months ago under designer Danielle Dahan...Expect loud geometric printed wrap dresses for summer. Eighties fashion will also feature, "But it's the attention to detail that makes these dresses so great." noted sales rep Patricia Thornton..."

-- from a 2004 article: "...Albert Dahan, who used to run Joe's Tees in the Eighties and most recently, NC Love dresses..."

Thank you all for the tips. I tried all sorts of versions of NC Love but got nada! Thank you for the help. It has such strong 1970's bones and the material is pure 1970's; I guess Danielle Dahan loves that era. Cute as heck!
