A few more..!

Sleeveless heavy taffeta evening dress with gorge beading and back metal zipper. In panels for lovely flare, there is a thin strip of elastic either side of the zip for a few inches, is this common on strapless dresses of the era? I was wondering if maybe it would have originally have had thin straps that have been removed.

The next dress is in black velvet and moire taffeta, with pleating detail to the skirt and interesting neckline. The zip has been replaced so no help there, do we think 50s? I would have liked it to have been in a heavier velvet, it's quite lightweight cotton velvet..

.. Sorry my photos are crappy, there was no natural light!

They're both beautiful~ but the first one is a stunner!

Check the top bodice where it is stitched to the lining for signs of straps that may have been removed.
