2 gorgeous dresses from the Met museum’s “Women Dressing Women” exhibit

There were so many gorgeous dresses but here are 2 of my favorites, both French, on the left a 1928 silk crepe dress with silk appliqués by Sarah Lipska; and on the right a 1924 black silk taffeta dress by Myrbor designed by Marie Cuttoli. Don’t they both look so modern? Wonderful exhibit, I feel very lucky I got to go.

Gorgeous! And yes, such a modern sensibility - hard to believe they're 100 years old! I love them both.

I love this one, too, by Mariska Karasz, from 1927, of navy silk faille appliquéd with ivory silk crepe. I leaned in and still could barely see any evidence of the hand stitching, such fine work!
