2 ?s - Term for type of knit & Can you identify this label?

I found this hooded maxi coat with matching muff by Mirsa today and I'd like to know what kind of knit you would call these balls:

And does anyone know this label? It looks like Full AG-B, Seasons Fashioned - at
least that's what we've widdled it down to, but there is no info on that or a few
other variations we've tried. It's from a mens wool scarf with tassels.

I am no help with the label wither. For some reason the B looks like an 8 to me.....sorry:puzzled:

Thanks so much for asking about the term to call that. I have a sweater that I took pics of yesterday that is made like that. I had no clue what the term was.
 
I'm wondering if is crocheted, rather than knitted, but I can't see the stitches as clearly as needed.

As a crocheter from many years back, I know they have a popcorn stitch, as mentioned by Mary Jane, and many differennt kinds of shell stitches, which is what this could be, too.

Regarding the label, I'm clueless.

Thanks Jamie & Janine! I don't think it's a shell stitch so much as popcorn, but the good news is I got a bunch of ol' knit and crochet books yesterday that I'll look thru sometime in the future (better than saying tomorrow and I never get around to it); so I'll keep you posted.
 
No clue on the label, Deborah, but I agree with it being a popcorn stitch (I know almost nothing about knitting or crochet, but that's what immediately popped into my head when I saw it!)
 
Most likely it is a popcorn stitch, but there are shell stitches that look similar to this. Not all the old shell stitches looked exactly like shells!
