Hi,
I have a mens Palm Beach suit 1930s era. My question is, does anyone know when this Co. was established? All I seem to find is they started in the 1930s. Also another ?, would anyone have any good reference sights for pictures & info of mens victorian era shoes (fancy dress shoes). Thank you!!

Palm Beach Suits

Hi, Just wanted to let ou know there's a Palm Beach Ad from the Litery Digest 7/17/1920 pictured in my book Roaring 20s Fashions Jazz (Schiffer) - along with color photographs of a double breasted Palm Beach suit and its label: "Tailored by Goodall, Palm Beach, Reg. U.S. Pat. Off, From the Genuine Cloth" At first Goodall manufactured the fabric, shortly thereafter they offered suits "Tailored by Goodall".
(This book, though mainly women's fashions from the 20s, has a section pg. 136-168, also. The book is 247 pgs. and covers the 1920-1925; the second half of the decade is covered in its companion volume, Roaring 20s fashions Deco - google Susan Langley books for places & price comparisons.
Hope this helps some...

Thank you for the helpful info, still trying to narrow down a date on the suit, 1920s or 1930s. I have pictures to post but I am not sure how to downsize the pixels, so I dont' know if some one can talk me through it or change them for me. Thought I would ask first. I also have pics of the mens shoes & had a ? on dating. Thanks!

Palm beach is the city the company was registered in rather than the name of the company. They just dropped their location out of the labels.
