30’s to 50’s drop loop pants

Any info is appreciated. I recently came across a few drop loop pants all with different details. This one stumped me a bit. Zipper had no engraving but looks replaced and at the waist it has a double snap closure.

Looks like a flat gaberdine. Do you know what it made of? Looks 1940s, but it could be early 1950s.
