30s black gown... can you read these words?

I'm thinking late 30s on this simple gown, please let me know if I'm off base. :-) The gown is made from a lightweight flow-y black velvet (velveteen?) and has small train. There is a short bell-shaped Talon zip at the center back. There are no tags of any kind but there are some words on the selvedge of the fabric. I'm curious to know what they say. Any ideas?

No I think you're right, especially with that bell shape tag.
I made out: DUPLAN'S Ene(m?)iand KOUSUNOKEI, I'm only sure of the first word however, which is probably the fabric brand so a better start than the rest?

Thank you, Melanie! I wonder, then, if the fabric could be from the Duplan Silk Corporation. I've just been reading that they produced silk velvets. I'm horrible at burn tests...in general, how does a silk velvet feel and drape compared to a cotton velvet?

Editing to add: The third word might begin with the letters KRUSH... Maybe a take on the wording for a "crushable" velvet?

Editing again: FOUND IT! Duplan's Energized KRUSHNO-VEL. Advertisements from 1937. Further research states it's a rayon pile on an all-silk back. " The most beautiful and remarkable velvet of the season. Non-crushable, spot resisting and water repellent." $1.98/yard
