30\'s or 40\'s on this dress?

The tag is very unique - I think it says Gothe (how do I put the tic over the 'e'?).

The dress is all black made of a crepe-y type of material with this golden & teal spray of sequins on the bodice.

Side metal zip, pinked seams, and the only tag is the one pictured. Basque waist and some beautiful gathering under the side bust (armpit) area to kind of accentuate the upper torso.

How old is she? Boy, if I was able to fit into this one, I'd so keep it but alas, no.

Also, when the term 'goth' in relation to modern fashion really get it's start?

Thanks!

Gorgeous!! It reminds me a bit of a DuBarry dress I sold that was from the 40s.

We do have this designer in the label resource from the 50s. So I would think the same label was used for a long time. No info though which is unusual.

Thank you all, now I feel better about listing it :)

I saw that label on the label guide, but thought this dress was earlier than 50's...I looked on eBay and saw one dress with that label listed. It's a store item, and listed as 40's but the tag is different kind of has me thinking that dress is 50's.
