30s or Into 40s On Polka Dot Dress?

By Boston Maid, side metal zipper (so thinking 40s but has a certain 30s vibe about it too, and I've had metal zips back into late 30s so am not sure)....polka dots are inside the pleats of skirt....

I realize the bodice looks looser than it should, this measures at close to 50" around at the bust so its hard to get to look right on the manni! Thanks guys...

Late 40s because of the hem length, side zipper (30s use centre back or centre front more often), full sleeve, and pleated upper bodice treatement - I would expect close fitting for 30s.
 
Good points, guys! Part of the problem is this could actually fit closer but I can't clip every square inch to the back. Its wayyy too big for the manni. I've had a few side zips from the late 30s so it isn't a deciding factor for me. It has no shoulder pads, which could have been removed but I would expect from 40s...and again, is longer than average because the size is so much bigger. I'm calling it 40s though! I love the hidden polka dots!

Great dress Ang! It sounds like it will be way too big for me (I'm only 40" bust) but otherwise I'd be sending you a U2U. Love it - just the sort of frock I like to wear in the shop.

Oh, cool Tiffany...I didn't even think to look. Its a sweet label!

Thanks guys...Nicole, yeah, I think it would be quite a bit too large. Haven't measured but I'm guessing it will measure 48-50" at the bust.
