40s? coat - OK now not in autumn??

I'm taking it that this is a late 40s coat - it is a lightweight wool fabric, fully lined, no labels or tags. Great detailing on the belt and pockets. It seems too light colour-wise to hold until September, so should I list it now?<p>

So it is mroe spring weight? I don't know. It seems like it would be the type someone would buy to wear Feb/March/April weather. It might be cold some places still though. It would be perfect for Australians that are getting ready for winter right now, and in many parts their winter tends to be milder than UK'ers and northern americans are used to. Maybe put it in the mall for people to buy, and if it doesn't sell you always have the fall people.

Last year, white winter coats were shown, so I am not sure if it would be all that light for this winter. The runway shows with fall 2005 clothes have already happened and were posted on the internet, so I woudl search fall 2005 runway and see what you come up with.

Its also 12 o'clock somewhere so you can have a drink too.

I have coats listed never know when someone wants a jump on the cold weather and plans ahead. You could always put in a sales catagory I have some coats in sales. It doesn't hurt to have variety in a mall store.

But if you are planning on ebay I would wait to get the full value of it.

Oh I love that coat - what size is it?

It is going down to freezing tonight, so lightweight coats are still worn in many places right now!

I'd say put it in the mall, but then I would wouldn't I? But I think it may be a little off season for ebay.

Yeah - I just thought with the light colour and the lighter-weight fabric, it was more a 'spring' coat than for winter. But into the Mall store it will go..................once I've measured it!

I think your instincts are right on spring, but folks usually buy those coats a bit earlier than this. I think they are on to trench coats/raincoats now. But at least in the mall you can get those people who are really still looking for those coats plus folks thinking ahead and you might have more luck than a "one shot" on ebay.
