40\'s Dress with Questions

I have been selling 50's Vintage for going on 6 months now and am looking to move to 40's although sometimes I feel completely lost with this era. Any help is good help!

Is this dress early 40's? Short back Talon neck zipper, side metal Talon zipper, tons of soutached across the neck and down the arms, bell sleeves, crepe fabric with a dropped waist and flared bottom. Is this what they call "fit and flare"? Also has a matching kind of deco belt that hooks in the front.

NO i ts not a fit and flare but a hell of a 40's dress. Swing dance crowd would love it!

It's certainly 40s. I suspect 1940 - 46. And has very nice detail.

I'm not an expert but my guess is definitely 40's too. Very pretty!! Are the little "swirlys" on the sleeves embroidery??

The sleeve and across the chest is a mix of soutache and chain stitch embroidery. The blue is the soutache and the yellow is the chain stitch embroidery.
