40's jacket - pleats?

40\'s jacket - pleats?

I have a 1940's jacket very similar to the ones pictured. Does anyone know what to call the cut of the jacket? They're not really pleats are they? I can't seem find any info :(

No not pleats. These are decorative tucks sewn into the princess seamline. The princess seam gives shape to the bust instead of having darts.
