50's/60's? sparkly knitted cardigan by Charles Creed

I hardly ever see true vintage knitwear so wanted to check on this lovely little cardigan which I thought had a 50's / 60's vibe to it, mainly from the shorter length sleeves, the very small high collar and the 'look' of the label. I wasn't sure if the material label counted as fibre content without the % either which could put it later (like 80's I guess with this much sparkle!) I also thought the asterix style buttons relevant to the period.
I've never come across Charles Creed before and it's not in the resource, does anyone know anything about the label?

Charles Creed was one of the Incorporated Society of London Fashion Designers. Search the forums for him and you'll some info. Equally on google if you search Charles Creed Fashion Designer you'll find info. Looks like he died in 1966.
