50s handprinted Mexican circle skirt

Has anyone had any luck cleaning one of these? If so how? If its too risky Im just not going to bother because its one of my favorite pieces in my collection. It does however have a general dinge to the "white" background and a few darker spots. Any tips would be appreciated or just tell me to leave it be.

I *generally* spot clean only. You have to check for color-fastness though and might be able to hand wash. They are tricky. I just handwashed one w/o issue but there were only dark colors. The white background ones scare me so I've carefully spot clean or leave it be.
