50\'s(?) mens robe

I'd really appreciate an outside opinion. (ie. experienced opinion:USETHUMBUP: )



First of all, I'm guessing this is 1950's based on the tag but if I'm wrong tell me so.
Second the lapel has a hole (burn?) I'm not sure if it's worth fixing or if I should list as is. It's kind of hidden on the side/back of the lapel.
Finally. Based on my VFG research (from a post back in January)...this seems to be a brocade jaquard but does this swirly design have a name? (a description is on the tip of my tongue but I can't spit it out.) It's not geometric or psycadelic or oriental....
I'm guessing it'd be better to say 'what it is' rather then 'what it isn't' in my listing!! LOL!!
 
I don't know about the design but these do extra good around Halloween with keywords such as Hefner, Playboy, Smoking Jacket. Mine usually top at about $100.00.
 
Oh my, cross posted. I love that label. Looks 50s to me!
 
Linda, that's happy news for me!! *smile* I've never sold one of these b4. Do you find people want them in perfect condition or do you think I could sell it as is...with that little hole? (I know I couldn't fix it myself...well, respectably anyway!!)
