50\'s or 60\'s? Good/bad idea to give fishnet gloves as freebie?

Hi!

I'd like to think I'd wear these gloves at some point in my lifetime, but that's not gonna happen.. I thought they looked good with this dress.. cool freebie?
Also, what's the date?

50s. Where do you come up with all the fabulous dresses? Those gloves will make a nice freebie.
 
Between you & I, I got this one at a garage sale! I was going to keep it, but I swear, I never ever ever get dressed up these days. Stupid school. Stupid busy life... ha ha ha!
 
...or you could just put the gloves on seperately. I saw someone on an old film wearing some a few weeks ago and thought "ooooh! Need some of those!" so I've been watching out on ebay, and all the ones they have on there (and there's a lot!) are modern fingerless fishnet gloves ala Madonna in the 1980s. :-(

I love the detailing on that dress, it's beautiful. You really do have some fabulous finds. :-)

I know what you mean about not getting dressed up. I sometimes wished I'd never got an evening job in a theatre. Everytime I take a night off it's because I want to attend whatever's on there, so I never ever seem to be away from work! LOL! They're getting used to my 1960s outfits now... wonder how my colleagues will cope with one of my 1950s outfits when Little Richard's on soon?!

Live theatre. Very varied shows. Plays, musicals, rock music, swing bands, opera, ballet, amateur shows, comedy, everything really.

I like films too, but it suits me better working somewhere where there's an endless supply of musicians. ;) *and* lots of 60s musicians and 60s shows too. :)
