60\'s Clips? Was I wrong?

I just listed these cuties marked JAPAN on Etsy as early 1960's, but then I starting poking around for pricing and found similar pieces listed as 40's.. please bring me back to reality.. I'm right.. right?

With those backs, Beth, I'd say late 50s or early 60s. I've had 40's beaded earrings similar to those, but the backs have been very different--obviously old, nearly solid discs wired to the earrings.
 
I think the earrings are 1950's. It would help to have a really clear view of the backs but they look to me like findings that were used from the vey late 1940's on. Beaded earrings and beads in general were very popular in the '50's. A similar earring finding was patented in the US in 1949. Of course findings are used for years so they could be early '60's, but my first thought was '50's.
