60\'s or 70\'s dress?

When I first saw this dress I thought 60's, but the more I look at it I'm thinking 70's....
It has a newer coil zip, and there's extra lining in the bust area, so it's almost like a built in bra...
Also, I noticed that the hem has been cut, so it could have been a bit longer....

What does everyone think?

Ok, looking at it once again it seems the hem has actually been let out, so it would have been shorter, not longer....

Still 70s?

Are there tags in this? Is is handmade?

I'm wondering if someone used an earlier pattern with fabric that came out a few years later. :puzzled:

There are no tags....so it's possible that it was handmade, but I'm not sure...maybe you're right...60's pattern with 70's fabric? :puzzled:

i think that's cute.

I think because of the neckline paired with the silhouette - it probably is straight up 70s versus 60s pattern with 70s fabric. People often forget that there were plenty of minis in the 70s. The fact that is lined like that with a built in bra - it must have been a very out of ordinary home seamstress. Also, just because there are not tags doesn't mean its homemade - they just could have been removed.
