70s Mens trousers?

Ok.. me again.

Uhhh... I just completed a shoot of a bunch of my mens stuff and hope to start posting it soon, but these.... uh, I LOVE them but I... I remember when men wore them, but I am at a complete loss.
My Uncle Phil wore them and he played golf a lot. Are they golf pants? What would one call these? And I bet the terms are different from the US and across the pond.

They are 70s right? I have 2 pair, one is white and these are sort of a baby blue plaidish O.o

Help please! And I am sorry, no label to be found anywhere :( Maybe there is a label on the white ones, if so I will post them in a new thread if it helps.

Hmmm... could be. I forgot to mention that they are also likely cotton or a cotton blend. I'm not sure of the print either. It is... plaidish to me *smile* Ill keep researching when I am done with work today. But any help I can get is as always.. greatly appreciated
