70s on this PIN-UP style WALLIS Dress?

this silk dress looks like the 30/40s pin-up dresses but I'm pretty sure it's 70s, long nylon zipper down back. Does anyone know if there is still a WALLIS dept store located at 63 CHAMPS-ELYSEES PARIS? I hope you can see the pin-tucking on bodice and leg-of-mutton sleeves.

The print makes me think of London in the early 70's. I'll ask a friend who lives near Paris if he knows the answer to your question.

thanks Amanda, I did some quick researching when I first got the dress and could not find a WALLIS at the Champs-Elysees address. I went ahead and listed on the 70s cat.

I agree: early '70s influenced by the 30s-40s black florals.

There is a UK brand called Wallis, based in London I think - I've had early '70s styles from them before. The quality and styling is good.

"I checked the on-line Yellow Pages and didn't get any hits for a shop at that address, so my guess is that it doesn't exist any more. The Champs Elysées have mostly been taken over by the big chains."

the length, fullness of the skirt and puffy sleeves reminded me of the pi-up style rayon print dresses I've had in the past. maybe not a good discrpt tho. I need to change the shoes on my mannie
