70s or 80s for this black and white maxi?

I was thinking 80s but wonder if it's late 70s doing 30s/40s?

Hi Lauren: any tags? Style looks early '70s (does late '30s-early '40s) but fabric does look early '80s.

On the available information I vote early '70s.

That company has been around in Montreal since 1942, this was their youth oriented line.

I vote 70's also, I had several dresses just like this in the 70's, a couple were were maxi dresses, most were mini dresses. I really adored the sleeves, and bodice on this style dress.

I think 70's too. Fashion definitely keeps repeating itself, but it is also evolving, which means some of the horrific trends may be back now a days.
