70s Teen Trousers

High, first post.
I was a 70s kid back in the UK.
I'm looking for the name of the type of trousers we had back then.
They were made of cotton (I think) they were not Jeans though, they were flared at the bottom but also had turn-ups.
As well as normal pockets, they had pockets on the sides of the legs.
Back here in Wales, they were called patch pockets, but I know they were called something else.
They had a waistband as well.
Any help would be great,

Loved painter's pants in the 70s! But I don't remember them as being flared - more straight legged. And they had the loop on the outer leg for hanging a tool from.
