Abstract/paper-cut B/W birds The design does look like Escher.
What does the label look like? His company changed ownership several times and by the mid-80's, he was no longer producing a couture collection. Could be early 90's.
It would be worth digging into this a bit more. Jean-Charles de Castelbajac designed for Courreges 1994-96. He is well known for using strong graphic imagery but you would need to do more research on this print. I haven't seen many printed fashion designs by Andre Courreges.
The label is similar to the VFG example. It doesn't have 'Made in France.'
There was I remember a retrospective of Escher work in publications and design books after he died in 1972.
Good grief, I was so surprised that so many people thought those figures were birds ... and then I realized that they were looking at the white part of the dress while I was looking at the black parts/figures. Birds AND flying fish ...

Thanks for all the informaiton. I'll also look into Castelbajac. I found a dress that must have been from when he was designing that was black and white but not with this kind of print and the other black and white prints I could find were from the late 60's. I can't really find all that much out there - don't know if people hang on to their Courreges or if it is just not very popular.
