80\'s Courreges Suit

Sorry no pic yet, but I picked up an 80's Courreges skirt suit on the weekend. Extremely green cropped jacket, structiured, with big shoulderpads... and a mini skirt to match. I paid 25 for it, not bad. As I tried it on at the estate sale someone told me I looked like a leprechaun - which was not the look I was hoping for! I brought it home and showed my husband, who asked 'can you take out the giant shoulderpads?'
Gee, I thought it was fabulous. Guess the rest of the world has yet to catch up with my taste.

My question is... do you think the market for iconic 80's wear has reached its apex or will continue to grow? Will angular 80's be today's mod 60's of 2027?

(if you can follow my logic!)

The market for 80's vintage, especially designer such as your Courreges, is just starting to grow. If you take a look at the newest issue of Bazaar magazine, you'll see several references to larger shoulders and bright colors of the 80's. These looks are starting to appear on the runways again, and it will take a season or two for them to catch on with the fashion public.

In answer to your question, I think the market is going to continue to grow, and I think you got a steal of a deal on your Courreges! We'd love to see some pics!

Sorry for the cheesy 7am bathroom mirror shot, but it does look quite different when worn!

I noticed a few very small moth nibbles in it today (damn!) but they are not all the way through or to bad... quite teensy.
