80\'s Dress by Bob Evans, WHO IS HE?

Ok, I'm stumped, I have tried googling Bob Evans and can find nothing about him...
This dress comes from the stash of designer dresses I bought about a year ago, all nos from a closed upscale boutique. Its very well made, 100% silk.

I was gonna say that I didn't know he designed clothes but I love his restaurants. ;)

I love the color, too, Tori. Hope someone comes along with some real help with the "other" Bob Evans.

Designer Eric Gaskin worked for him before starting his own line.

That is absolutely GORGEOUS! The color is fantastic. Not a neon but close and those are hot colors this Spring. Definitely, 80s, wouldn't you think with the peplum effect?

Thanks for the link to the article Deborah, I don't think I'll pay to view it though.

This was starting to really frustrate me so I started a new search today omitting restaurant, farm, and force fins and actually came up with 4 of his pieces in the Texas Fashion Collection.

I inquired on the VC&A, no help but they did suggest I sell the jacket and dress separately, yea right.

I'm just going to list it, I'm done :censored2: researching.

My memory is fuzzy, but I do remember this name. Seems to me a couple of celebs back in the 80s wore Bob Evans, but I can't remember who.... Maybe it'll come to me.

No, not Mackie. That I would remember! No, when this was first posted, I had a flash of recognition (and NOT from the restaurant, LOL!), because of the styling, then it left me. A senior moment; I get them very often these days.
