For a few years I did not ship clothing to Italy because of the regulations, but so many sellers seemed to be comfortable sending garments there (of course the other issue is the Italian postal service) that I decided to join the club.
I just made my largest sale ever on eBay ... and wouldn't you know it, the buyer is from Italy. I mentioned to her in an e-male Italy's custom regulations and here is what she said -

"I buy antique clothing from USA since 2002 and I never had problems, so I think we don't have to worry. I know that regulations say that "sewn articles of any kind" are prohibited, but this rule is no more applied here (in Italy there are a lot of rules written on paper but no more used -_-). "

So I guess I feel better about that aspect of shipping to Italy.
