Good evening!
Im just looking for a little help dating these two dresses.
The first one im totally clueless about - im unsure if its handmade or been added to or what!
I initially thought the neckline was made up of tiny beads but its a kind of thick thread - a few strands have started to 'unwind' you can maybe just see in the second photo.
It has a split to the front centre and the pleats at the back are infact a whole piece of fabric rather than just folds - 5th down.
The last photo of that dress ive tried to show the stitching to the hem and that of the lining - the hem stitching seems much more 'home done' or older than that of the lining which made me question if it has been altered at some point. It is also boned at the front. Im rubbish with fabrics but it is a very heavy substantial feeling dress.
The second im guessing with the style is 60s? And i was wondering if you have any suggestions for fixing the little sparkle design to the front? A few of the 'stones' are missing. Label reads 'styled for you' "sheree".
