A Story in Pictures and a Trifari Question - Better Pics Added

Yep - me again! :)

Today when out and about, I happened to see this box sitting alone on a shelf at an estate sale. (prepare for bad photos please)

I opened the box and saw this:

Then I glanced at the contents and saw this (sorry, rly terrible photos)

Then my phone rang and I set the box down to answer it. At that moment a lady walked up and picked up the box and tried to walk away with it. After a verbal assault and near fistifcuffs, I recovered the box. Of course, I had to buy it at that point, so didn't look closely at contents and I suppose it could have been full of dead spiders - I was buying it on principal!!

Sooo, the necklace has no markings on it at all. It is very cool and I might just keep bc it is interesting but I am wondering if Trifari ever had unmarked pieces. Perhaps the contents and the box are not related at all but before I make that assumption, thought I would check in with our jewelry experts to see if anyone had any thoughts.

Pendant and beads are made of glass so very hard to get good pics with my little camera. Hoping you get the idea of what it looks like though! I actually really love it no matter who made it but I would be a lot less attached to it if it belonged with this box! ;)

Thanks all!!!!

Trifari marked almost everything. I don't think the necklace came in that box! The necklace looks like it pre-dates the box - in fact the necklace looks like it's late '20's and the filigree metal might be sterling. How long is it and what is the closure (catch?) The box looks like it matches the 1950's Jewels by Trifari signature:

Are there little blue beads along with the clear crystal ones?

A very good find - even if it's not Trifari!

Better Pics of Necklace and Clasp

So maybe it is better than a box of spiders! :)

Here are what I hope are better pics. There are small blue beads on either side of clear glass beads and there is actually a blue stone in the center of the silver filligree on the pendant.

The clasp was vexing me - thought newer style however, it has a little bar (for lack of better description) that you have to catch with your nail instead of a upright piece that you pull back. Thought it was broken at first then realized it was made like that.

Sadly, it does have some damage to the glass pendant - prob shows up better now. Still looks great on though.
