I found these items at an estate sale and am having a hard time dating them...
Shoes are Sesto Meucci
The short floral gloves are stamped with "Lynda" It says they are made in Paris France
The long gloves are stamped with "Denise Francelle" they are also made in France

Please help...I am not sure if I found something true vintage or just items that are "Vintage inspired"

I am pretty sure the gloves are from the 1960's - especially the short ones. The long ones could be older but probably they were purchased in Paris at the same time. Not sure about the shoes - they seem to be in unworn condition! I did a very quick search and discovered that Sesto Meucci began designing woman's shoes in 1955 and is still in business, so the shoe experts will have to help you date them. They have a late '60's/ early '70's flavor but I think they may be more recent.

I can certainly see why you snatched up these items at the estate sale!

I was kind of thinking the same thing for the gloves...but ugh, sometimes they are really hard. Would you know of anyone that might have any additional thoughts?? especially for the shoes? I they really are vintage they are really unique I thought!

I think the shoes are late 1980s, (possibly into the 90's) because the heel isn't a plain stiletto, it's angled under the heel in a comma style but without curving, and also flattened so the heel tip is rectangular.
The print? of the uppers is really original! It kind of looks like those bags made of recycled woven packaging / marbled inks.

Cute shoes, and I agree with Melanie that these look 1980s, with the shape of the heel. Also the bright colors. If Melanie thinks they could go into the 90s, I'm sure she's right, but by that time I was pretty much not buying shoes like Imelda Marcos (as I used to do!).

The gloves are really pretty, and I think both are probably from the 60s. I love those long ones!

Anne you would be a safer bet than me on that :) first hand memory tops it. It's partly the lining too, that sort of pearly effect is more modern than the standard metallic or matt finish but I'm not sure of this period at all - too many new and retro styles going around! There is a lot of neon in the print, was there a particular part of the 80's when neon was in?

I think the shoes are from about 1993 - I had some black nubuck shoes of that style at that time, with that distinctive long and narrow oval shape over the vamp. I remember it well because it's unusual. I wore them for job interviews. They had a slightly different heel but I did see shoes with your heel around that time. The colours are fabric look very "Nanny" to me.
