now that selling clothing is a business for me......

i need to kuckle down and try and get my head round having a website.....

my friend who sells books online has recommended

strato.com does/has anyone used them and what did you think?

also when you put a vintage piece on your website for sale...how do you know what to charge ?

as to be honest i have put some things onto ebay, and they have gone way over what i thought they would,

Until you get a feel for your market, you will want to do a lot of google searching similar items to get an idea of the price range.

yes l agree, research, research, research, it took me 6 months of internet and shops research until l felt shure l was taregting MY market properly, to actually get out there and launch the site...

thanks guys........ye you are right....... but i know i will feel cheeky looking at other peeps websites purely for info.....

had to laugh when i was talking to my hubby about a shop on line.... and pricing etc..... and he just said.. think of a number...... double it..... and add a 0 on the end.....lol....

do you know if there are any....auction houses in the uk ....which specialise in vintage clothes...?

as i know with music memrabilia you can get a marked cataloge after the auction, with what the items sold for....and these are a good starting point for pricing guides....

I have used Yahoo Webhosting for a couple of years and is is inexpensive, brainless to use and has been an absolute success for me. It is under $10 a month. They give you a free webbuilder as well so no HTML knowledge is required.

I have also started a Guide on selling vintage clothing online with special tips on using Yahoo webhosting!

Hope it helps and good luck!
