Age of Plastic Necklace?

Any idea of the age of this necklace? It is a lightweight, not sure what kind of plastic it is. I do not think it is celluloid.

I take it that the last pic is the clasp? I can't see the backs well but it looks pretty modern to me. What sort of material is stringing the beads together? Is it cotton or that clear nylon thread?

Yep that is the clasp. The front of the beads are the same as the back. How modern do you think it is? 60s? 70s? or 80s? and I think the string is cotton.

The colours are saying early 80's to me.

Melanie's right - pink and grey was a big colour combination in around '83-85. I don't think it's any earlier than that in any case.
