[second post, because the photos in the original post turned out very big]

Hello Everyone,

Today I came across this website as I was searching on Google to find some info about a vintage jacket I bought the other day. In this forum I saw how users post pictures and ask other users if they can give them more info about the items. I think this is a wonderfull idea and like to know more about some items I bought lately. I like to find out something about how old the items are and maybe some info about the brands, as most of them I couldn't find in the Label list.

*Navy blue jacket from Lord & Taylor
Bought this awesome jacket on Etsy. It's from Lord & Taylor fifth avenue, and has the label from the National Recovery Board.
Description on Etsy:
This highly styled vintage 1940s jacket is made from a navy blue wool, with a circa post-war 40s cut in the manner of Dior's "new look". The nipped waist is formed by the back princess seam and side front panel triple long darts. There are 3 buttons for the closure, with one at the waist, and two at the left upper bodice, with a choice of buttoning the shawl collar up high or with a more open lapel.
Information about the coat:
- The seller thinks it's from the 1940's.

- It has the black Lord & Taylor tag
- The fabric of the jacket is wool
- The jacket has 3 buttons with a pattern

Want to know:
As there is many information of the brand Lord & Taylorand the NRB on this website, the main thing I want to know is how old this jacket is. Is it really from the 1940's? Maybe someone knows the exact year?

I really hope someone can help me.

Greetings from The Netherlands!
