Age of this dress and info on label?

I had the luck today of finding this dress in a thrift store however, I'm not sure of its age. The label is Mayfair, there seems to be no info anywhere about this company. The dress closes with a metal zipper in the centre on the front with a snap at the top. The zipper reads ATLAS. The dress also has a tie on the front. Also, would this be considered a novelty print? They look like commas and apostrophes. Seams are pinked. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi Nicole and thank you for your reply and your help! This makes sense as I just found the AFL-CIO union label on the inside from 1955.

This is from a 1936 newspaper and while the address is not exactly the same, it seems to have been right next door, so I am now thinking Mayfair was a shop and not a manufacturer. I will see if I can find anything else about it when I have a few more minutes:

(N.B. I think the Rose Gross thing is an unrelated business.)

Wow Lynne that's interesting! I've seen a few garments from this label when I looked through Etsy and they were all made with novelty prints.
