Hello!

Trying to sell this vintage Alfred Angelo wedding dress-but have no idea what year it was made. The label only says the designer's name and nothing else. I've attached three photos of the dress. Any advice helps! Thanks :)

My mother was married in a very similar dress (in satin) with the same neckline but without the underskirt, in 1981, so Nicole was spot on!

Is the white underskirt a seperate garment though? It doesn't look right to me how there is such a large gap between the hem of the lace overlay and the beginning of the pleated underskirt hem. If they are joined and original I would be thinking the top lace layer has been shrunk.

Melanie, I think the appearance of a gap is created because the train has been brought forward for the photos. When the train/top layer laid back in place, as when worn for the church, I suspect that the 2 layers lay correctly.

The makers should have used more fabric in the top layer to avoid that happening.

I love the pink cummerbund on the dress, do you think it is original to the dress?
