I have decided to purchase a new camera and I have settled on Fuji. I love that they are considered the best camera for low light situations.

I bought one, but it's way too big. It's almost like a DLR size.

Which compact Fuji's are you using? What do you love about them?

It sounds like you have the same camera as me, mine is about SLR size as well. Personally, I'd keep yours as i've had mine about 4 years now? And it's been a workhorse. I think I may need to replace it soon though as I've dropped it too many times and now the battery cover doesn't close without me having to tape it shut but other than that, it takes good pix in most lights!

I have the Fuji FinePix A805. It's small, light weight, 8.3 mega pixels, easy to use and cheap to buy. My pictures are really clear. I have a larger Fuji SLR which my husband now uses. It was too bulky for me.

remember , great tip....as lve learned to my cost and loss of visitors on the internet site and ebay/etsy...

though you will only need to take 1 megapixel pics for use on the net...7 or more for glossy magazines, anything in-between say 4-5 for shop prints....

(you can guess l'm on a photoshop evening course)

I'm on, gosh, year 3 maybe, on my Finepix S5100, with no signs of imminent let down. It is only a 4 megapixel, but takes good enough pics for web work, as long as my lighting is right. I've dropped it a couple of times, and gosh knows how many I've bopped the lense area.

I'm waiting for it to die so I can bump up my megas for the print work I'm now doing, but I may just have to go ahead and overlap with two, since it shows no sign of stopping.

I like the shape of it, though, since it is more like an old school film camera (although smaller in comparison). It still feels like a real camera to me, though. I'm not fond of those little slivers of metal they call cameras these days. I just want something big to hold onto! :embaressed:
