Alley Cat/Betsey Johnson expertise...

Just wanted to know if anyone can refer me to specific info about an Alley Cat piece I just picked up. I know about the label but I am trying to determine specifically what year and season it came out. My camera is on the fritz at the moment but I will try to post pics. Here's a description in the meantime...

It's a 2 piece (hot pants and halter) in cherry red with intargia (sp?) names throughout the knit. It reads Betsey, Bill, Jack + Ruth. It's just a really interesting piece and I'm wondering about the signifcance of the names (obviously know who Betsey is!) There are no contacts except cust. serv. on the BJ site. Any ideas for more info? Any Betsey experts on here?

I really don't know anything about the label. I was happy to find a couple of Betsey Johnson Alley Cats patterns yesterday. Hopefully someone will come along with more information.

Superb book called "" The Look" Adventures in Pop, Rock & Fashion ""has fabu reference on BJ & Alley Cat and the history of BJ.

I had in my personal collection at one time, an Alley Cat babydoll print (there were two prints involved) blouse, with a lavender corduroy maxi skirt, a coordinating set. They were adorable, and I'm not sure what became of them; I am very sad about that. Hope to see photos of your set!
