Alligator Makeup Case w/ Milk Glass Bottle

I aquired this one over the weekend. It's a makeup/travel case in alligator (assuming it is - marked genuine leather so it could be made to look like it too). It only has two original bottles left, but someone could very well just put their own stuff in it. One bottle is glass, the other white bottle is milk glass. I wonder when they would have stopped using milk glass in travel sets. The milk glass is marked KC Mo (kansas city, Missouri and has the same name as the case. The case has a metal zipper

The clear glass bottle has a saturn or eye ball looking hallmark. Anyone know this one?
I will check out the glass board maybe if not.

And any stab at a date? i am not sure if my gut instincts are correct.

It looks like stamped or boarded leather to me, ie: real leather but fake gator. I thought it might be a man's toiletries case as they are usually smaller than womens and most of the ones I have seen have zippered edges and date from the 1940s or 1950s. Although they don't usually have handles, so maybe it is a womans...

thanks Jonathan...

It was marked a "purse" at the auction i went to, though i knew it was obviously a toiletry or makeup case. I can see why at a split second they would have thought so because its sized like a small frame bag. I should disclose that its about 10.5" by 6 3/4".

you are quite right re: guys don't usually have handles on theirs unless its a single loop strap on the end. Maybe it is supposed to be unisex? and the handles are to hang it up on something in your hotel room while you are getting ready? I would figure a ladies at the time would be more feminine looking or have an area for a compact. Though i will take out some compacts and see if they fit in anywhere.....
