Okay....am i garish or gorgeous? (and don't worry about hurting my feelings because i am not sure myself!)

And how old am I? Date help appreciated!

Now, I normally look at the pin back, but the pin back was replaced later. So that is no help. There is a little bit of old dried glue residue but i still thought someone out there may appreciate it.

Not a jewelry expert, but that looks like 50s to me, and whaddya mean?! Of course it's gorgeous!! Last year was the year of the rhinestone brooch, and things seem to have cooled on that front. Those look like topaz and smoked topaz rhinestones along with ab. I get some ideas from Swarovski crystal colors...here's one of many sites

I guess the thing is - i prefer geometric or figural brooches and this looks more amorphous to me ...though its really not.
