Am I right in thinking this could almost be a 30s-40s cusper?

Hi everyone!

Now, I have a problem here in that my proper camera is out of action, so I've only got totally inadequate phone pictures. This home-tailored blouse-dress says '40s' to me, but something about the hip-hugging flippy calf-length (going by proportions) skirt, side snaps and buttons is giving an edge of 30s to me. Just a gut feeling without a lot of back-up. What are your thoughts?



And the skirt, 'cos I couldn't fit everything in the first shot:


So pleased with this print find by the way - the dress just arrived, and I'm trying to write about the textile design right now. Shame I can't take very good pictures with the phone...

It could be....tell me about the positioning of the shoulder pads. Are they on top of the shoulder or at the top of the sleeve?

ah, no shoulder pads, just crisply slightly standy-out sleeves. Let me find my shot of the front (blurry, I'm afraid).

Without shoulder pads and with that length of hem, I would think 1937ish
