It has been raining lately, but yesterday, we had a bit of sunshine. I took advantage of the greatest lighting equipment/lighting designer anywhere...Mother Nature :)
I thought i would share the results.

Too bad it didn't last. Another (warm) but dreary day today.

Look great Chris!

Is that a bakelite frame on the handbag?

Sue

Celluloid. That was my first gut reaction. i think. I have seen W&D bags with this sort of frame on the web and half say bakelite and half say celluloid. I have not tested in any way, however.

I sold one just like yours a little while back. Mine was lucite, and also by W&D. I think I got around $20.00 for all my troubles. Hope yours does alot better.
Its such a cute purse.
Good Luck!
Paula

Did you have clear lucite on yours? I don't think i have seen a lucite whiting and davis before. But might have and just didn't know it.

I'm keeping it for awhile, actually....hopefully I will finish photographing my purses sometime in this century to document what I have as a part of my personal collection. (embarrassed to say how many purses i have).

I have a small but loyal following of purse collectors in my clientele (that is what i started selling on ebay) that I make sure are in the loop when I list something for sale, and send them a newsletter, so i generally get a pretty fair price for my handbags most of the time. I won't hold out so much on the clothing unless really really special as it does require more storage space, but purses I will hang on for a little bit or put in my shop at my price until I get it. Or if on ebay, i will wait til i have a bunch and then do a feature on one to draw and that has worked well for me too.

This one is going in "the vault" for a bit. WHo knows, maybe there will be someone in a fashion mag singing the praises of alumesh LOL!
