An unusual knit

Here is another future humane society auction...

I just could not leave behind this knit top. The trim looks and feels like angora or mohair yarn. Have no idea what the rest of the top is. A hook and eye are at the neckline. The collar is closed, it doesn't tie. Maker is Adora Knitwear company It is an "Adorable Original"

The collar really perplexes me. I have never seen anything like it. I at first thought 50s but am totally not sure.

Note to self: Do NOT try this on!

Sure looks 50's to me. If you tie those tails into a square knot, I'll bet it makes more sense.

Oh I am so dense....of course it is supposed to tie even if the edges are thick. Where is my dunce cap.
