this i thought earlier, had deco look about it and is again handsewn but better quality materials. i do rather like this one - i love the colour of the leather!

late 30s? has slidey closure, concertina style base









so is that alligator? or some other creature?

thanks linda, i love it too! i just don't seem to use clutch bags - i need a giant holdall at all times, or so it seems :)
 
Harriett, I'm normally not a huge fan of reptilian stuff, but I ADORE this clutch!!!

I know nothing about reptile purses, other than that I've sold a couple (!), but the skin in the corner of the bag looks very lizard-like to me in pattern. The rectangles look a bit small to be croc or alligator, but, really, I'm not sure. But it is a dynamite piece!
