Andy Warhol Scarf

This is a wonderful website and I thank Joules so much for referring me.

I have tried to research the Andy Warhol silk scarf I have but I cant find any information. It has his name on it 3 times, is silk, has a handrolled hem, an is in excellent condition except for 3 small holes. It measures 11" x 64" and the colors are exquisite.

Does anyone have any info to provide? I would so appreciate it :cheer:

that is a very cool scarf!

i would bet that it is new--sold at a museum or gift shop.

i know that the last time i was at the warhol musuem in pittsburg--they sold a lot of fun gift items including scarves. i don't recall if i saw this exact print....i do remember one with dollar signs and another with cows. they were around $50.

i bet the museum has an online shop, maybe you can look there to see if it is being sold there.
 
Hi Pinky Thank you so much for that info. I searched the Museum online and didnt find this scarf. Called them but no answer..will call again.
I did find new scarves on ebay...the dollar sign and cow.
Mine seems to be a different quality than what I can see from the pics of the new ones. A lesser quality of silk.
I found a screenprinted silk scarf from the 80s of fish. I am wondering if mine is screenprinted.
Any more info would be welcome :hiya:
 
There are many Andy Warhol licensed products. This looks like it might be one of them and is screen printed. Probably your best bet is to get in touch with the Andy Warhol Foundation, info online.
