Anna Roose Wool Suit

Hi there, fellow vintage lovers! Just recently stumbled across this incredible Anna Roose wool suit and purchased without knowing anything about the designer. After doing a bit of research, it seems her items are quite rare. Does anyone have any ideas about how to go about estimating a value for this suit, or even have more information about the designer and her pieces? She has a lovely obituary online and I can't find much more than what is written there.

The suit is made from Welsh woolens and was woven in Wales. Lining is acetate. According to the Woolmark and its style, I'd estimate late 50s or early 60s, but I'd welcome any input on its age as well. It's in pristine condition, with only slight color variation to the lining in the shoulders of the jacket. Thanks so much!

What a lovely suit! I especially adore the color!
You don't show the Woolmark... but I believe the mark started in use in 1964. HERE is our Label Resource entry for Woolmark.
Anna Roose apparently designed in a traditional style. Her obituary mentions that her designs were inspired by Celtic tradition, that could be why your suit appears like it may be older.
Per forum rules, this is not a site for valuations... but checking sold eBay pricing for similarly styled suits of the same vintage would be helpful. Anna Roose is not well known (at least, not here in the USA) and not necessarily a collectible name. Therefore, her name is not likely to add value.
I look forward to hearing what others from "across the pond" say about it!

From a 1973 article about Roose: "...spent most of her childhood in Wales recently, started her own dress firm, Anna Roose Designs, Ltd." I assume that was supposed to be "...recently started her own dress firm..."

The article also noted: "The small company of dressmakers and cutters, based in her home in Oxted, Surrey, is making a variety of styles, from traditional Welsh peasant-type costume to casually coordinating separates in Welsh cloths..." and "Previously Anna had worked as a consultant to Glyntaf Fabrics..." and "She trained at St. Martin's College of Art, and also studied fashion design in Paris...followed by jobs in designing for leading London ready-to-wear manufacturers, and then she lectured in fashion design."

Thank you all for your lovely replies! I'll share a picture of the Woolmark. I adore the color too and can't believe the amazing condition it's in! It was sort of shoved in the corner of an estate store, completely forgotten about. Love a good rescue!
