Ok I am glad to find out 30s on the other items :-) So is this one 30's also? or 20's..... Im not trying to pull out a 20s lol though it may seem like it just trying to learn the feel... this one seems to be constructed differently besdes the fact it has no sleeves... It is more liek a trhow or wrap and stuffed/padded (thicker) around the neck collar and the arm areas. There are no closures and does not look like there was any... the lining disintigarated out of it (sp) I pulled the rest out and I did it a favor . so is this one 30's also or plus or minus 10 years?

I did notice it has the "mermaid" thing going on also.

Help is always appreciated :-) thank you

Wow Jennifer, you really scored with this find!

Another vote for 20s here and I would like to hear
from Jonathon or Hollis as to the exact age.

Thank you ladies :-) ohh I have a bit more lol.... i'll be asking help with the older stuff until I get tha hang of it but now I know heheheh :-)

So would I call this a throw? or something like sleeveless coat? I am sure there is a proper term? thank you

This is early 30's. The hemline has dropped, the cut is narrower, shaped and curved and the 'fishtail' begins to see the future of the train which became a strong feature of evening dresses.

It's a fabulous evening coat. It looks like printed panne (with an accent) velvet.

I agree, very early 30s, with a lot of 20s influence still, I think. You could call this a cocoon wrap or cape. Is it panne or metallic lame? It has a lot of sheen. If metallic lame, it's even more desirable.

I am not the best with fabrics at all... here is a close up of the fabric,.. and as I said I know nothing of fabrics.. if I cant burn it and its not an obvious one I have no clue...

This appears to be a chiffon (light and airy but thick) kind of delicate fabric that appears to be printed on..... but has large amounts of thin metallics sewn throughout or woven in....

I took the pictures without any flash as with and without looked the same, but no flash came out sharper... The closest one is about 1/2 inch section or less, my camera gets way closer than any human eye can and it 12 mp so this is like looking at it under a microscope lol... the other pictures are about 6 inch sections.

I hope this helps... thank you!
